Women’s Infolink provides Queensland women and girls with access to information and services across the state.

We respond to your issues, queries and problems, providing confidential information and referral options through our free-call telephone service and our online services.

For women and girls experiencing, or at risk of, domestic and family violence

The Queensland Government is committed to taking action to eliminate violence against women, which has increased in frequency and complexity during the COVID-19 pandemic. While the full impacts are still not yet known early insight indicates that, in Queensland, 81% of domestic and family violence (DFV) practitioners saw an escalation of controlling behaviour and manipulation and 49% reported an escalation of perpetrators using COVID-19 as a reason for abuse. This highlights the continuing need to address DFV within Queensland communities.

Phone the police on Triple Zero (000) if DFV is happening now or a life is threatened.

If there is no immediate emergency, you can report DFV to the police by phoning Policelink on 13 14 44. You can also make a non-urgent report of DFV by submitting an online form.
